“Scattered winds”
A music video in development
Description
One of the projects I am proud of is the music video “Scattered Winds” that I developed together with a student from the music conservatory.
The purpose of this animation was to support the musician’s performance as she performed the piece of music live. (At the moment the finished project is not yet visible online but will appear online soon, stay tuned!) Below you will see the process from concept sketches to the last backgrounds I painted.
Final backgrounds are created in Krita, animated and compositing done in After Effect

Concept phase
The animation consists of a number of landscapes through which a leaf blows on the rhythm of the music. The colors start out dull and progress to a happy colorful ending when the leaf lands calmly on the ground.
I tend to start my process on paper. I usually explore some ideas before finding one which I develop further digitally.
